Mini Makers (Prekínder a Kinder)
Mini Makers introduce a los niños y niñas más pequeños al mundo de la ciencia, la tecnología y la robótica a través del juego y la imaginación, sin la utilización de pantallas. En este curso exploran materiales, construyen inventos simples y experimentan con luz, movimiento y sonido mientras desarrollan curiosidad y confianza para “atreverse a probar”.
 
A lo largo del semestre, los estudiantes:
Exploran el mundo STEAM jugando
Construyen con cartón, palitos, plasticina y materiales reciclados; descubren cómo se enciende una luz, qué hace que algo se mueva y cómo diferentes materiales cumplen distintas funciones en sus inventos.
Dan sus primeros pasos en robótica y programación
Siguen secuencias de instrucciones (paso 1, paso 2, paso 3), usan actividades unplugged y herramientas visuales muy simples para entender causa y efecto: “si hago esto… pasa esto otro”.
Diseñan, prueban y mejoran sus creaciones
Dibujan sus ideas, las construyen, las prueban y las ajustan, aprendiendo que equivocarse es parte natural del proceso creativo.
Desarrollan habilidades socioemocionales clave
Trabajan en parejas y equipos, comparten materiales, explican sus ideas, escuchan a otros y practican la paciencia, la colaboración y el orgullo por el trabajo bien hecho.
Al final del curso, cada niño y niña termina con inventos y proyectos funcionales —como tarjetas luminosas, pequeños robots o juguetes móviles— que puede llevarse a casa y mostrar con orgullo a sus amigos y familia.

Mini Makers (Pre-K to Kinder)
Mini Makers introduces young children to the world of science, technology, and robotics through play and imagination with no screens. In this course, they explore materials, build simple inventions, and experiment with light, movement, and sound while developing curiosity and confidence to “dare to try.”

Throughout the semester, students:
Explore the STEAM world through play
They build with cardboard, sticks, playdough, and recycled materials; discover how a light turns on, what makes things move, and how different materials have different roles in their inventions.
Take their first steps in robotics and coding 
They follow simple step-by-step instructions (step 1, step 2, step 3) and use unplugged activities and very visual tools to understand cause and effect: “if I do this… then this happens.”
Design, test, and improve their creations
They draw their ideas, build them, test them, and make changes—learning that making mistakes is a natural and important part of the creative process.
Develop key social–emotional skills
They work in pairs and small groups, share materials, explain their ideas, listen to others, and practice patience, collaboration, and pride in their work.
 
By the end of the course, every child finishes with functional inventions and projects—such as light-up cards, small robots, or moving toys—that they can take home and proudly show to friends and family.
