Diseño 3D & Impresión
En el curso de Diseño 3D, los estudiantes dan sus primeros pasos en el mundo del modelado digital creando objetos que pasan de la pantalla a la vida real a través de la impresión 3D. Usando herramientas intuitivas como Tinkercad, aprenden a pensar en tres dimensiones y a diseñar modelos propios paso a paso. A lo largo del semestre, progresan desde figuras simples hasta estructuras más complejas con piezas móviles.
 
A lo largo del curso, los estudiantes:
Aprenden las bases del diseño 3D
Trabajan con formas básicas (cubos, cilindros, esferas) para combinarlas, recortarlas y transformarlas en objetos originales.
Desarrollan pensamiento espacial y precisión
Usan medidas, simetría y proporciones para que sus diseños sean no solo atractivos, sino también funcionales.
Diseñan proyectos con propósito y partes móviles
Crean proyectos divertidos y funcionales como máquinas de dulces, dragones o serpientes articuladas, juguetes antiestrés (fidget toys) y autos con movimiento, entendiendo cómo cada pieza encaja y se relaciona con las demás.
Conocen el proceso de impresión 3D
Ven cómo sus modelos se preparan para la impresora, entienden las capas de plástico, el tiempo de impresión y los cuidados básicos de la máquina.
 
Al final del curso, cada estudiante elige uno o más de sus diseños para imprimirlos en 3D y llevárselos a casa, pudiendo mostrar con orgullo sus creaciones funcionales a amigos y familia.

3D Design & 3D Printing
In the 3D Design course, students take their first steps into the world of digital modeling, creating objects that go from the screen to real life through 3D printing. Using intuitive tools like Tinkercad, they learn to think in three dimensions and design their own models step by step. Over the semester, they progress from simple shapes to more complex structures with moving parts.
 
Throughout the course, students:
Learn the basics of 3D design
They work with basic shapes (cubes, cylinders, spheres) to combine, cut, and transform them into original objects.
Develop spatial thinking and precision
They use measurements, symmetry, and proportions so their designs are not only attractive but also functional.
Design purposeful projects with moving parts
They create fun, functional projects such as candy machines, articulated dragons or snakes, fidget toys, and moving cars, understanding how each piece fits and interacts with the others.
Learn about the 3D printing process
They see how their models are prepared for the printer, understand plastic layers, print time, and basic machine care.
 
At the end of the course, each student chooses their designs to be 3D printed and taken home, proudly sharing their functional creations with friends and family.
